You will model and validate DSP algorithms, filters and architectures embedded within our TV tuner/demodulation semiconductor products.
Key Accountability Areas
- Develop and integrate DSP behavioural models that meet the design specification, are maintainable and delivered on schedule.
- Prompt adjustment of on-chip algorithms and filters to satisfy customer requests for specific performance objectives.
Typical Activities
- Implement bit-accurate models of DSP designs.
- Develop and debug behavioural models for simulations.
- Prepare technical reports and descriptions of test configurations.
- Document test plans and create test regression vectors to ensure adequate performance.
- Execute test plans and provide detailed analysis and summaries to other team members.
- Work with lab equipment and Fresco silicon to characterize performance.
- Debug system configurations and generate technical reports to help resolve customer field problems.
- Create tools to measure, analyze and automate performance metrics.
- Collaborate with DSP team members and other departments to ensure that tests are setup and executed properly.
Requirements
- Technical background in the area of communications and filter design.
- Proficient at programming in C/C++, Matlab and Perl.
- Experience with lab equipment is an asset.
- Innovative and clear thinker.
- Good communication skills.
- Self motivated.
- Effective team collaborator.
- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
