To innovate competitive algorithms and architectures for evolving DVB-T and other global demodulation standards to be implemented in Fresco's semiconductor products.

Key Accountability Areas
- Establish technical requirements for DVB-T and other demodulation standards to achieve cost/performance advantages over competitive solutions.

- Establish best practices to enable rapid development of algorithms destined for IC implementation.

- Provide leadership to the DSP design team and other departments to ensure that solutions are implemented on time and on budget.

Typical Activities
- Prepare design documentation, test plans and reports.

- Define technical questions and product specifications.

- Provide technical mentoring to engineering teams.

- Develop and maintain a simulation environment.

- Develop and debug behavioral models for simulations.

- Document test plans and create test regression vectors to ensure adequate performance.

- Ensure that IC implementation and behavioral simulation models are equivalent.

- Meet with project leads/managers to establish project work plans and schedules.

Requirements
- Strong technical background in communications research and filter design.

- Design expertise with DVB-T is essential
(ATSC, Cable, DMB-T are a plus).

- 8+ years of R&D experience in a related industry.

- Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering
(MSc or PhD will be an asset).

- Proficient at programming in C/C++ and Matlab.

- Proven track record developing algorithms for product.

- Good understanding of the semiconductor design flow.
